The 34 Feet Plano Bed Type Extra Heavy Duty Lathe Machine handles very large metal parts that need exact shaping in heavy industry. The gap from the main spindle to the tailstock measures 8000 mm - shafts or pipes many meters long fit without trouble. The center stands 42 inches above the bed and the bed itself is 42 inches wide - both dimensions keep the frame stiff while it cuts. The work envelope allows a 2000 mm diameter piece above the bed, 1700 mm above the cross slide and 2500 mm in the gap section - the operator is free to turn different sizes without extra fixtures. A 150 mm hole runs through the spindle, letting thick bars pass clear through the headstock. The plano bed layout, built from heavy cast sections, resists bending and soaks up vibration.
